The Lawson School of Music is excited to offer not only private lessons in piano, ukulele, guitar, voice, drama, and more, we are also thrilled to offer a variety of group classes! These classes include Kindermusik (newborn to age 5), Group Ukulele, Bucket Drumming, Musical Theater, Rockband Class, and Group Voice/Acting! Piano lessons are a great way for any student to learn and develop their skills in music. It is also a wonderful (and scientifically proven) way to develop the brain, relieve stress, help with math skills, spacial awareness and so much more! Its easy to see why this instrument is great for students of all ages and skill levels. The Lawson School of Music offers both private and group piano lessons.
Tuition: Half hour weekly= $105-$115, 45 min weekly $165-$175, 60 min weekly (can be divided in to twice weekly)= $210-$230 (price depends on instructor)
Singing is one of the oldest forms of expression we have. People love to sing and what better way to develop your skills and confidence than through vocal coaching. In these one-on-one lessons, students work with their teacher to discuss current and future goals and work together to achieve them. Students are taught vocal and musical techniques as well as character and song study to elevate their performances. Classes offered to students 6 years through adult.

This class focuses on the foundations of singing (notation, pitch matching, breath support and more) as well as acting on stage. This is a great class for beginners who want to develop these skills and eventually move on to private lessons or Musical Theater Class. We keep this class fairly small to ensure individual and group time, so spaces are limited.

The Lawson School of Music is proud to offer Kindermusik to our youngest musicians and their families. Founded in the United States in 1978, Kindermusik is an early childhood education music and movement program for children from infants to 7 years of age (2nd grade in elementary school ). It is based on a kindergarten music and movement program developed by educational experts in Germany in the 1960s.
Our curricula offer children musical learning that involves every aspect of a child’s growth and development: language, motor skills, social skills, cognitive development, emotional growth, and musicality. A trusted and licensed Educator guides children (and their teachers) through every musical and developmental milestone. Ages 0-4 are designed for both child and parent/guardian/loved one to attend together for bonding and development.
Tuition: $75/month
Do you want to learn how to play the guitar? Ready to brush up past skills? If so, look no further. The Lawson School of Music offers beginner guitar lessons that focus on the foundations of music, tab and chord reading, and more! Each teacher works with the student (all ages welcome) to see what their specific goals and needs are. We offer both group and private lessons.

Group Class: $85/month (45 min class)
Learn how to read rhythmic notation and relieve a little stress all at once! This fun and energized class focuses on percussion and pre-rockband skills (Rockband program coming Summer 2024). Students learn various techniques for drumming, working as a team/ensemble, and learning how to make music together and on their own. Each student will receive their own bucket and drum sticks.
Group Class: $85/month (45 min class)
Our Musical Theater Ensemble is a great way for students to get acquainted with performing on stage or to hone their developing craft! Our ensemble consists of students new to theater and those who are seasoned young performers. In the Spring of 2023, we performed 'The Sound of Music- Youth Edition'. Other past productions include 'Seussical Jr.', The Great Holiday Bake-off' and a 1940's Christmas Radio Broadcast.
This Spring 2025, we will be performing 'Alice in Wonderland Jr.' at The PAC.

Let the sounds and feelings of Hawaii move you in Ukulele lessons! The Ukulele, or Uke for short, is a great portable instrument that is fun for learning and playing. Ukulele is often a great beginning point for students who eventually want to play guitar, but want to start with a smaller instrument. We offer both group and private lessons.

Military and Family Discounts
The Lawson School of Music offers a 5% discount to active and retired military persons and their children. We also offer a 5% discount to siblings/families. Multiple discounts cannot be combined.
Private one-on-one lessons are scheduled individually based on student/teacher availability.
